Risk Analyst

Job Description

Our client is looking for Risk Analyst:

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses across various departments and functions to identify potential risks that could impact the organization’s objectives.

Utilize quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methodologies to evaluate and prioritize risks.

Performs root-cause analysis on material risks identified and recommends process/mitigating measures to minimize occurrence. Monitor the implementation and escalate/ follow up on pervasive issues where necessary.

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and assist in the development of risk reporting metrics for senior management and stakeholders.

Collaborate with business units to ensure risk considerations are integrated into their decision-making processes.

Conduct regular reviews of the risk management framework and recommend improvements based on emerging risks and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CRM, FRM, PRM) is an asset.

At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Proven track record of successfully identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
