Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provides accurate accounting reports and present results on the company’s performance on a
    timely basis. Monitors all financial data and prepares accurate statements for the company and
    Directors 
  • Ensures that the department verifies, allocates, posts and reconciles accounts payables and
    receivables each month and provides support to the Directors and Financial Controller
  • Manages and completes the monthly financial and reconciliation reports and assist with
    the year-end audit processes.
  • Assists with the administrative and financial planning by analyzing financial trends and reports
    on costs, variances, productivity, margins, and company expenditures, and presenting
    recommendations 
  • Prepares management accounts, and assists with the preparation of the annual budgets and
    forecasts, particularly the projection of expenses; conducts cost and revenue analyses 
  • Assists with the management of cash flow and budgets including reporting on variances of
    actual against budgeted. 
  • Coordinates, monitors and authorizes, accounts payables, receivables and all other payments to
    ensure timely payment 
  • Prepares and processes payroll for fortnightly and monthly staff for approval by the Financial
    Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and/or Minimum Level 2 Certification in ACCA
    or accounting qualifications is preferred 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant accounting experience 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Strong administrative, documentation skills and proficient in financial reporting
  • Proficient in preparing, managing and monitoring budgets 
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite Applications 
  • Experience using Peachtree is preferred 
  • Confidential and trustworthy, with effective leadership capabilities 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis
  • Analytical with keen attention to details and solutions-oriented 
  • Willingness to learn new tasks, deal with challenges and adapt to changing demands
  • Able to deal with difficult or complex situations 

Physical Abilities Required 

  • Standard office working conditions with staircase required to climb daily 
  • Frequently required to sit, talk or listen 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands for writing and typing, and occasionally reach
    with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch 
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (e.g. ream of paper) 
  • Perform repetitive tasks with limited breaks 
  • Spend working hours using the computers and reviewing figures
