Job Description

Our client is looking for Institutional Dietitian

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and manage the operations of the Department of Dietetics, including food service and clinical nutrition

Deliver and oversee clinical nutrition care: assess patients, develop diet plans, and manage therapeutic nutrition including enteral and parenteral support

Supervise dietitians, assistant dietitians, and support staff; coordinate training, performance appraisals, and staff development

Develop and monitor menus, standardized recipes, and nutrition education materials for patients and staff

Ensure cost-effective foodservice operations that meet safety, quality, and sanitation standards

Collaborate with healthcare teams, contribute to ward rounds, and participate in quality assurance and reporting

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Knowledge of Science of Human Nutrition and essential component of Health Science

Knowledge of Clinical Nutrition Services

Knowledge of Nutrition Care for population across the life span

Knowledge of Food Service System Management

Ability to convey ideas and information to individuals or groups with differing backgrounds

Ability to analyze the problems inherent in satisfying the food tastes of hospital patient

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition from an accredited institution

One year supervised internship programme in Dietetics/Nutrition

At least three (3) years’ experience in hospital food service and clinical management

Dietetics Internship Certificate

Registration with Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine
