Job Description

Our client is looking for Facilities Operations Manager

Qualifications:

Tertiary or equivalent level qualification in Facilities Management, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing facilities and/or projects.

Previous supervisory or management experience is required.

Ability to operate basic machinery and tools.

Requires use of sound judgment with the ability to prioritize multiple complex projects while meeting deadlines.

Requires the exercise of independent discretion and judgment in determining course of action for specific situations. Involves application of broad knowledge of procurement and facilities management.

Strong computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

Establish a Facilities Management Plan, Preventative Maintenance Policies and Procedures and Facilities Operations Manual including reporting protocols for maintenance requests and preventative maintenance.

Manage routine building maintenance and repairs (carpentry, electrical, mechanical, painting, plastering, plumbing, etc.) on equipment and facilities and ensure they are performed timely.

Manage upkeep and maintain a safe working environment by ensuring general repairs of doors, walls, fixtures, etc. are completed expeditiously.

Prepare annual maintenance budgets and manage maintenance contracts.

Handles general accounting tasks, such as accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, and budgeting for the maintenance/operations of the facilities.

Procure estimates and bids for construction projects, repairs, and renovations through the use of outsourced contractors.

Develop and maintain a qualified vendor/contractor/temporary worker group to provide efficient operation.

Prepare and maintain preventative maintenance service contracts with subcontractors as well as supervise the repair and maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment installed in our buildings.
