Audit Staff Accountant

Job Description

Our client is looking for an Audit Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

– Performance of fundamental audit procedures key to building an understanding of the audit process around identified significant accounts, which may include cash confirmations/reconciliations, search for unrecorded liabilities, expense testing, accounts receivable testing, fixed asset testing, inventory testing, investment testing, claims/loss testing, etc.

– Casting/review of client’s financial statements.

– Interaction/communication with clients

– Liaising with other departments in conjunction with audit requirements 

– Other duties as assigned by Supervisors and/or Management.

Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA Level I

– Minimum GPA score of 3.3 from a recognized university

– Minimum Grade II in CXC English Language or equivalent

– Willingness to aggressively work towards the ACCA or CPA qualification

– Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel

– Strong interpersonal, report writing and communication skills

– Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi-cultural experience
