Job Description

Essential Functions

Under general supervision and in accordance with BRL policies, procedures, and guidelines, the Accessioning Clerk/Receptionist will:Register and accession samples into the laboratory information system accurately.

Ensure proper documentation and labeling of patient and sample information.

Uphold confidentiality and adhere to BRL’s standards of professionalism.

Perform general administrative duties such as ordering supplies and clerical tasks.

Provide courteous and friendly service to all patients, contributing to a positive work environment.

Maintain a professional image in both appearance and communication.

Accept and process payments for services and balance daily cash reports, as applicable.

Adhere to safety, confidentiality, compliance, and legal requirements.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Knowledge of medical terminology.

Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.

Critical thinking and sound judgment in task execution.
