Job Description

Our client is looking for Restaurant Stewards

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure all soiled items (flatware, cooking utensils, pots, etc.) are cleaned and sanitized using proper procedures.

Follow all food service health and safety protocols.

Assist kitchen staff with prepping ingredients for service.

Maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen.

Operate and maintain cleaning tools and equipment.

Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.

Collect and remove trash from all areas of operation, following established procedures.

Wash and clean bins at the end of daily service.

Adhere to proper and safe use of chemicals.

Monitor chemical levels to ensure adequate stock and report to the kitchen supervisor when stocks are low.

Dry and pack away all clean and sanitized items in an organized manner.

Remove chipped or damaged service plates and utensils from circulation and report to the kitchen supervisor.

Report any maintenance issues to the kitchen supervisor.

Perform any other tasks/duties assigned by the supervisor/operations manager.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is preferred.

Up-to-date Food Handler’s Permit.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work well in a team.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items.

Stamina to handle busy shifts.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
