Job Description
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Dental Office Receptionist include, but are not limited to:
Meeting and greeting all patients, ensuring that the waiting area is comfortable.
Scheduling appointments, confirming them the day before, and following up with patients
after their visits.
Managing client records using relevant software and physical filing systems.
Completing insurance form and processing electronic Insurance Claims.
Processing payments via Linx, cash, and other methods, accurately documenting these
payments, and following up on outstanding payments.
Maintaining the inventory of office supplies.
Managing the office equipment, such as the printer and Linx Machine, including ensuring
that they are functional and the relevant supplies are in stock.
Ensuring that the tea station is well-stocked and clean.
Supporting the cleanliness of the office and common patient areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have at least five (5) CXC/CSEC passes, including Mathematics and English Language
At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar position is preferred but is not mandatory.
Excellent Computer Skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be willing to learn basic dental procedures in the future.
Must be friendly, capable and respectful.
Must have a valid Police Certificate of Character
