Business Development Officer

Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s digital marketing across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and the website.
  • Assist with the development and execution of business growth strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met.
  • Participate in networking events and industry functions to promote the company.
  • Provide administrative and marketing support to the business development function.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Design and develop creative content for digital marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate and post online advertisements for the company and its clients.
  • Respond to online queries and liaise with the relevant team members for responses.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with media companies.
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends.
  • Represent the company at corporate events when required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a business development or sales role
  • Design skills using Canva will be considered an asset

Skills and Knowledge

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to process information easily and quickly
  • Strong working knowledge of ad aiding tools, web and social media analytics tools e.g., Canvas, Hootsuite,
  • Good experience in creative content writing
  • Knowledge and skills in digital marketing
  • Exceptional knowledge of existing and emerging social media platforms e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
  • Strong customer service skills; able to communicate well verbally and in writing; excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM software
  • Experience with web design and graphic design
