Sr. Radiation Safety Officer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

–  Manage the implementation of the Agency’s Radiation Safety Programme

– Provide technical support to the Occupational Health & Safety Director, enabling the unit to achieve its strategic objectives.

– Implement OHS activities per established policies and practices to achieve the Human Resource Management and Development plan and Jamaica Customs’ strategic objectives.\

– Ensure that employees, clients, and stakeholders are well-informed and committed to improved OHS performance in the workplace.

Requirements:

–  Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Science or Nuclear/Radiological Engineering with at least three (3) years of working experience in radiation safety.

– Radiation Safety Officer Certification

– Project Management Certification

– Supervisory Management/Experience

– Appropriate professional certification an asset
